The Knowledge Centre is the ALG in-house law library and information centre. Based in our Dublin office, the Knowledge Centre is managed by three qualified librarians and serves as a vital hub for legal research and information management within the firm. It provides both a physical and virtual space, ensuring 24/7 access to essential legal resources across our network. As a core business support function, the Knowledge Centre offers seamless access to legislation, case law, and other critical legal materials, as well as key business information.
The team curates and manages many of the firm’s digital and print legal information resources, while providing specialised services, such as legislation tracking and tailored legal current awareness alerts. In addition to information resource management, the Knowledge Centre team delivers comprehensive legal research training designed to enhance digital literacy and build strong research skills firm-wide. This includes tailored support for navigating both premium and free legal tools effectively.
What can the Knowledge Centre do for you?
For legal teams advising and supporting a business, efficient and accurate legal research is crucial, especially in today’s information saturated environment. The ALG Knowledge team has developed a sophisticated in-house library and research function, offering insights and expertise that we are happy to share with our clients. This service is particularly valuable for in-house legal teams.
Our Knowledge Centre team, led by Ann O'Sullivan, is available to collaborate with legal teams to assess legal research tools, provide tailored research training, and help optimise resource use. Through legal research guides, hands-on workshops, and on-site training, our librarians can ensure your team has a consistent, effective approach to legal research.
